Engineering Scholarships

BAM is committed to assisting Black employees in their professional development and encouraging youngsters to seek a career in technology.

The Donald G. Willems Scholarship, administered by MSAWWA and MWEA, is awarded to students pursuing careers in water and wastewater fields, including specialization in water treatment and distribution.

The Howard C. Christiansen Endowed Scholarship awards three undergraduate and graduate students, majoring in engineering or its related fields, $6,000 each to further their studies and reach their career goals.

The Alaska Community Foundation offers the GCI Scholarship of $2,000 to 40 Alaskan high school seniors pursuing undergraduate degrees in STEM-related fields at accredited institutions in the U.S.

The Crowder Construction Company Scholarship Program grants one $2,000 scholarship to undergraduates pursuing studies in the construction management, construction, and engineering fields. Applicants must be a resident of North Carolina.

The scholarship awards one $1,000 scholarship and free attendance to the NC One Water Annual Conference to a student pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, environmental science, or business management.

The Rivers & Associates, Inc. Clean Water Education Fund Scholarship Program provides one $1,000 scholarship to an undergraduate student enrolled to pursue an engineering course focused on the water environment.

The scholarship awards one $1,000 scholarship with free attendance to the NC One Water Annual Conference to an undergraduate student studying engineering, construction management, or business management.

The program awards a scholarship of $1,000 to one student, residing in North Carolina, to pursue undergraduate studies in engineering with a specialization in water and wastewater.

The Les and Elaine Hall Water Environment Stewarded Fund Scholarship provides up to $1,000 to a student in North Carolina to obtain a degree in engineering or water-related professions.

The program awards one $1,000 scholarship to an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in environmental engineering or -sciences with a concentration on water environment. Applicants must be North Carolina residents.

Students interested in the automotive industry are offered scholarships by The National Association of Independent Automobile Dealers.

The Build Dakota Scholarship Fund awards full scholarships, ranging between $20,000 to $60,000 to students who wish to pursue nursing, engineering, or technology programs at four technical colleges in South Dakota.

The Associated General Contractors of Alaska provides an opportunity to students who are either Alaska residents or U.S. citizens to win a scholarship of up to $20,000.

SAE International offers a scholarship to students enrolled in Master's or Doctorate programs at a U.S. institution. The awards, worth $10,000, are offered annually and are for students intending to pursue a teaching career in engineering at the university level. The applications are accepted between January and March each year.

Project Impact Mississippi offers the HYPE Scholarship of $1,000 to high school seniors who want to pursue a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degree in Mississippi.

Lockheed Martin offers a vocational scholarship to more than 100 students pursuing an associate degree, industry-recognized credential, or credit-bearing certificate at a vocational-technical school, two-year community college, state college, or trade school.

The Heinlein Society awards the $4,000 Virginia Heinlein Memorial Scholarship to four female students enrolled in a four-year degree course in engineering, math, biological, and physical sciences.

The scholarship grants $2,500 to a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a dedication to solving the industry's most critical problems like water reuse, drinking water, and water resources.

The Board of Governors Academic Achievement Scholarship recognizes achievements made by students and academics in the water industry and encourages academic excellence through a $2,000 prize.

The NYSAWWA Board of Governors Past Chairs' Legacy Scholarship awards $2,000 to an undergraduate student enrolled in a full-time four-year degree with subjects related to water science and engineering.

The Oregon Institute of Technology First Scholarship offers its First Scholarship of $1,500 to two high school seniors who participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge.

The scholarship offers $1,500 to a full-time student in a degree program related to the water supply field, especially those studying utility management, regulation, engineering design, and treatment plant operation.

The Women Leading Kentucky program offers various $1,500 scholarships for female undergraduate students.

AWWA New Jersey Section offers the Drinking Water Continuing Education Scholarship to a high school senior from New Jersey to pursue an undergraduate degree in water science, and engineering.
