The Board of Governors Academic Achievement Scholarship is annually offered by the American Water Works Association. Annually, a single student will receive a $2,000- reward. The winner must be a New York State resident or be enrolled in a New York State institution or university to be eligible.

Students must submit a one-page overview of relevant coursework and/or research in the water business to enter the scholarship contest. The content’s quality will be taken into account, as well as the evidence of extracurricular activities such as involvement in student chapters of professional groups and summer work experience in the water sector.

Students interested in applying must fill out the application form and submit a one-page brief explaining pertinent coursework and/or research in the water sector. Applications should be sent to Jenny Ingrao, Executive Director.
