Nebraska Scholarships

The ¡Lánzate!/Take Off! Higher Education Travel Award program offers 185 $1,500 flight e-passes to undergraduate and graduate students who travel away from home to study.

The Iowa Student Loan offers a $1,500 scholarship to six students annually to assist them with college education expenses and encourage them to pursue college degrees. Recipients are picked randomly.

Veterinary Scholarships (member)

The Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) offers the NVMA Veterinary Student Scholarship to Nebraska high school or State of Nebraska-approved Home School Program graduates to complete their veterinary education.

The Study.com November Scholarships offer 30 students in any field of study from the United States or 25 specific states a $500 scholarship each to pursue their undergraduate studies.

Dr. Joseph and Sonya Landholm Scholarship

The Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association offers Dr. Joseph and Sonya Landholm Scholarship of up to $4,500 to veterinary students and veterinary practitioners pursuing training leading to certification in veterinary acupuncture.

The scholarship is awarded to one high school senior or undergraduate student enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university within the North Central region.

The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation offers this scholarship to graduating high school students or high school graduates pursuing studies at Nebraska’s public institutions. It is open to incoming college freshmen.

The Davis-Chambers Scholarship is offered to high school seniors to pursue studies at the University of Nebraska. Applicants must be residents of Nebraska and high school graduates in Nebraska.

The Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship offers need-based scholarships of between $500 and $5,000 to graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled in accredited colleges in the U.S.

The Nebraska Press Women (NPW)awards the Marianne Beel Scholarship worth $1,000 which offers scholarships to female high school seniors in Nebraska.

The Smith Diversity Scholarship provides five awards to graduating high school seniors and high school graduates in Nebraska who come from low-income and minority families to further their education.

The $2,500 John Deere Scholarship is given to one Midwest US student and one diverse Midwest U.S. student enrolled in a welding engineering or weld engineering technology program annually.

Pre-Veterinary Scholarships

The Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association offers the Pre-Veterinary Scholarships of $500 to Nebraska undergraduate students in pre-veterinary education and pursuing completion of the pre-professional program.

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks offers the Hearld and Marge Ambler Scholarship of $6,000 to two college students each, pursuing business-related degree programs. Preference is given to accounting majors.

The Nebraska Section American Water Works Association offers the Colonel Theodore A. Leisen Memorial and Training Fund to three students to further their education and advance their careers in the water industry.

The Willa Cather Foundation provides three Norma Ross Walter Scholarships to female high school seniors from Nebraska who plan on majoring in English.
