Marianne Beel Scholarship

Founded in 1946, Nebraska Press Women (NPW) aims to promote the founding principles of journalism and to enable sharing of opinions, knowledge, and experiences. NPW was created for and is governed by working women and men from all areas of communication.
NPW offers a $1,000 scholarship dedicated to the memory of longtime NPW member Marianne Beel. Female high school seniors who have a passion for photography, writing, podcasting, videography, or maintaining a strong online presence for their school, volunteer organization, or employer are eligible for this opportunity.
Students must be Nebraska residents and intend to pursue a postsecondary school degree or certificate. They must also submit work samples, a 300-word essay, and a copy of their high school transcripts, as well as a letter of recommendation and a resume.
