The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life of Missouri residents. It offers grants, resource development, and public leadership training services to other nonprofits in Missouri. Among those grants is the Hearld and Marge Ambler Scholarship to support college students with financial need.

The annual $6,000 scholarship is awarded to two college students each, pursuing business-related degrees with preference given to accounting majors. Juniors, seniors, and fifth-year students can apply for the scholarship. Applicants must be attending a university in Missouri or its neighboring states.

Applicants must be employed while in college and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants are required to submit a one-page essay, two recommendation letters, and an official transcript. A FAFSA Expected Family Contribution (EFC) should be indicated on the application.
