Rhode Island Scholarships

The Rhode Island Foundation offers the John J. O'Connor Jr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund to financially support college students pursuing a CNA, associate's, or bachelor's nursing degree in Rhode Island.

The Willard and Marjorie Scheibe Nursing Scholarship grants from $500 to $5,000 to one individual pursuing LPN, RN, or advanced nursing degree. Applicants must be residents of Rhode Island.

This annual program provides renewable need-based financial aid of $6,000 to Rhode Island high school graduate students, pursuing an undergraduate degree at select Rhode Island colleges and universities.

The Rhode Island Foundation offers the Marilynne Graboys Wool Scholarship to a female student pursuing a law degree in Rhode Island. Applicants must be a resident of the state.

The Rhode Island Foundation offers the MJSA Education Foundation Jewelry Scholarship awards, ranging from $500 to $2,500, to students undergoing jewelry-related studies in the United States.

The Rhode Island Foundation offers the Patricia W. Edwards Memorial Art Scholarship of $500 to one high school student to pursue art programs at a Rhode Island institution.

David L. Taton Family Vocational/Technical Scholarship Fund offers $20,00—$40,000 scholarship funds to Rhode Island residents attending trade or vocation schools.

The Michael P. Metcalf and Christine T. Grinavic Adventurer’s Memorial Fund, administered by RI Foundation, awards scholarships worth between $2,000 and $5,000 to college students from Rhode Island.

Graduating high school students have until the end of February to apply for the $20,000 Carter Roger Williams Scholarship.

The Rhode Island College offers the Miranda Scholarship, ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 to students in Rhode Island pursuing an undergraduate degree in performing arts.

Sponsored by the Rhode Island Foundation, the MacColl Johnson Fellowship is awarded to emerging and mid-career artists based in Rhode Island.
