Every year, the Ohio News Media Foundation (ONMF) awards Ohio News Media Foundation Scholarships to students pursuing newspaper-related programs. Majors include journalism, advertising, marketing, and communications. Applicants must be high school seniors at an Ohio high school or college students enrolled at an accredited university or college in Ohio and pursuing journalism, communications, or marketing. For both categories of scholarships, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The scholarship is awarded by the ONMF in line with its goal to ensure that there is professionalism all across the journalism and newspaper publishing space. The winning candidate is awarded $750. These funds can be dedicated to all educational-related expenses.
