New Mexico Press Women (NMPW) is an organization of professional journalists and communicators that promotes ethical standards while looking to the future in professional development, networking, and protecting human rights.

The Doris Gregory Memorial Scholarship was established in the name of the award-winning NMPW member after her death due to cancer. An award of $1,000 is given every year to one or two undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in any New Mexico college and pursuing a career in journalism, communication, or any other related field of study including print journalism, broadcast, photojournalism, public relations, communications or advertising at a New Mexico college or university.

Applicants must be residents of New Mexico of both genders male and female. They must submit their resumes, portfolio, essays, recommendation letters, and grade transcripts to qualify for the award.
