This scholarship is one of several sponsored by the Reno Rodeo Charitable Foundation as part of its wider mission to support children with special needs in Northern Nevada. However, they don’t consider the following counties as Northern Nevada: Clark County, Esmeralda County, and Lincoln County.

To apply for this scholarship, you must be a Northern Nevada high school graduate. In addition, you must prove enrollment for higher education by declaring a major at an accredited Nevada college or university or an out-of-state accredited institution.
Submit a curated portfolio
For the Western Arts & Culture Scholarship, you will need to submit three samples of your work. Choose pieces that best highlight your skill as well as suit the brief. They need to be examples that showcase Western tradition, culture, and history.
Submit a Reno Rodeo Foundation scholarship application
This scholarship comes in addition to the Reno Rodeo Foundation scholarship, for which you must apply for consideration.
Include addendum with your application for the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship
The addendum is part of the application and requires you to answer four additional questions and submit three samples of art that support our rich western culture, tradition, and heritage.
