Write out your script for your video
Even if you might or might not actually read it when you record, it gives you a good idea of what you want to say and how you want to say it. Follow instructions ahead of fancy production. Remember to make it an unlisted YouTube video.

You can write the essay in a word processing program, then cut and paste them into the application. Use a good program to help with counting characters (2600 max), spelling, grammar, etc. You also have the bonus of not losing your work should something happen before your application is submitted

Have in mind who will be reviewing your application. Even if most of them are not full-time medical school faculty, most of them will be DOs. Many have been preceptors, but not all of them. The foundation provides and supports public awareness initiatives that will benefit from the osteopathic approach to Medicine and also serve physicians through education that teaches and reinforces the Principles of Osteopathic Medicine.
Over 580 scholarships have been awarded to date
The Foundation has awarded over 580 scholarships in support of students from the Northwest since the 1986-87 scholastic school year.
About $100,000 have been allocated for scholarships
The Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation is committed to presenting $100,000, with a minimum of $10,000 per scholarship.
First-year students are ineligible for the scholarship
Application is only accepted from students enrolled in a COCA accredited school who will be OMS III, OMSII, or OMSIV.
