It is part of Warner Norcross & Judd’s commitment to uplift the lives of members of the communities in which it has a presence. The scholarship is open to students of color across the U.S.

The scholarship accepts applications from two categories of students. First, are residents of Michigan attending a law program at an accredited school anywhere within the U.S and, second, are applicants from across the country but must be attending a Michigan law school. Both groups should, however, be U.S. citizens to be eligible to apply.

Each year, a winner of the scholarship receives an award of $5,000. This amount is meant to help the recipient meet the education-related costs of their studies. Besides winning the cash prize, winners are also exposed to a community of practicing law professionals within the Warner Norcross & Judd law firm.
