The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) established the Leon Bradley Scholarship Program. The goal was to encourage more minorities and people of color to pursue careers in teaching and school leadership.

Each year, up to two scholarships are given out. Candidates, who are in their final year of certification or endorsement requirements, are eligible for the award. Each scholarship will be for the sum of $3,500.

The association provides resources, professional development activities, and networking opportunities to assist students in the teaching field. AASPA committees are a driving force in the development of new programs for members and school personnel administrators. Every year, the scholarship committee selects the recipients of the AASPA scholarships.
