The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation seeks to support the growth of Amateur Radio through its numerous scholarship programs. The foundation’s Henry Broughton, K2AE, Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of the late Henry Primm Broughton K2AE, one of radio’s pioneers.

The $2,000 scholarship is usually awarded to one winner a year but could be more if the Foundation’s income permits. To be eligible to apply, interested individuals should have at least a General Class amateur radio license and be pursuing an undergraduate degree at a four-year college or university.

The scholarship is only open to individuals who live within a 70-mile radius of Schenectady, New York. Applicants must submit their grade transcripts and recommendation letters along with their applications.
