The GCFM Horticulture Scholarship
The Garden Club Federation of Maine
The Garden Club Federation of Maine created a scholarship to invest in the current students who will be the leaders of tomorrow to lead the planet in the preservation of its natural resources. This scholarship is open to students majoring in floriculture, horticulture, conservation, and or the other garden fields of study. Students must be legal residents of Maine and should not be related to the board members.
Every year, the Garden Club Federation of Maine provides one college scholarship to a student enrolled in a college in the country. Applicants are assessed on their academics, financial need, character, passion for the horticultural profession, and personal interest. The award amount is used to help pay for their college education.
The GCFM Horticulture Scholars Program is geared toward preparing the state of Maine and the world at large in making sure that huge investments are made to secure the planet from adverse climate change. Scholars get to also learn from the many experts in the network who have decades of experience and research on horticulture. Most of the scholars get to build exceptional careers after school courtesy of the Garden Club Federation of Maine.
