The Spirit of Giving Scholarship was created by Wine Country Gift Baskets as a way to recognize students with the spirit of giving and inspire others to show acts of kindness, service, and giving. Any student can apply as long as they are not a previous winner of the scholarship or an employee or family member of the organization or Houdini Inc.
Every year, the organization offers three scholarships amounting to $3,000 to high school seniors and current college students planning to receive any form of post-secondary education. One of the criteria applicants are evaluated on is how they have contributed to the spirit of giving and service in their community or abroad.
The purpose of the scholarship is to give students who have been working to better their communities an opportunity to further their studies.
