American Water Works Association
International, nonprofit, scientific, and educational, American Water Works Association is devoted to delivering whole water solutions to ensure the successful management of the water. Approximately 80% of the country’s drinking water and almost 50% of the nation’s wastewater are supplied by and treated by their 4,300+ member utilities.
The Missouri Section of American Water Works Association (MO-AWWA) created the J.R. Popalisky Scholarship Fund (JRPSF) for qualified students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the State of Missouri to study courses related to civil or environmental engineering or environmental science with an emphasis on career fields associated with water supply.
Its mission is to promote public health and well-being, as well as economic growth and environmental sustainability, by bringing together a wide range of water stakeholders. Applicants must be Missouri residents with leadership experience and demonstrate good academic standing.
