The Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation (ILBCF) provides educational scholarships to high school graduates and undergraduate students who want to continue their education at a two-year or four-year institution. The Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation was founded in 2005 with the goal of serving as a conduit for communication between the Illinois Black Caucus and the African-American community. Every year, a $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a worthy student to pursue their studies of choice.
The foundation’s mission is to give educational resources and financial assistance to African American students across Illinois. Since its inception, the scholarship has successfully granted approximately $850,000 in support to eligible students.
Applicants must be admitted to an approved higher education institution in Illinois. Community colleges, private universities, and certified vocational training programs are all eligible.
