In honor of Horace and Susie Revels Cayton, the Horace and Susie Revels Cayton Scholarship was created in 1992. The Caytons were editors of The Seattle Republican, a popular political publication around the turn of the twentieth century.

The Horace and Susie Revels Cayton Scholarship is awarded by PRSA Puget Sound on an annual basis. Each scholarship is worth up to $4,500 and is awarded to deserving college students who want to pursue a career in public relations. They must be in their sophomore or junior year.

Each year, the chapter attempts to honor a Washington underrepresented student who displays academic achievement, a passion to practice public relations, and financial need. The scholarship is administered by the Public Relations Society of America.
