The Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists Foundation Inc. offers the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists (CTSPJ) Scholarship known as the Bob Eddy Scholarship Program to help undergraduate students majoring in journalism and foster their careers. The CTSPJ is a society of journalists whose main goal is to ensure a free press and liberty of speech. Other than that, they wish to be a part of the professional development of journalists, helping them achieve professional excellence.

The Bob Eddy Scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Annually, it offers scholarship awards to four undergraduate students, majoring in journalism at accredited universities in the U.S.

Applicants must be residents of Connecticut enrolled in any accredited universities in Connecticut or across the U.S. They must be in their junior or senior year and majoring in journalism. The award amounts are from $1,000 to $2,500.
