ASHRAE Region III Setty Family Foundation Scholarship selects one undergraduate engineering student for an award of $3,000. It is open to students enrolled at a post-secondary institution within Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Minimum GPA required to apply is 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0).

The scholarship is offered by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). It was formed in 1894 and offers multiple scholarship programs to support engineering students in the U.S. The Setty Family Foundation Scholarship is offered separately to two regions in the country.

The students have to submit two answers related to their personal goals and participation in HVAC&R activities. Moreover, students need to provide transcripts, letters of recommendation, details of working experience, and proof of financial need. The applications are accepted until December 1 annually.
