Like most scholarships, you are expected to write an essay stating what interests you the most about being an engineering consultant. You’ll also be expected to talk about the type of ACEC firm you envision working for and why. Familiarize yourself with the organization’s goals and missions and write creatively. You have a word limit of 500-700 words (one-page max).
Provide proof of enrollment
Show you’ve been accepted into an institution that offers Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accredited programs in the major fields of study. If you’re unsure of your school’s accreditation, check with your college.

Students of computer and biomedical engineering majors are not eligible for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon Scholarship.
