KEY FINDINGS

Public school systems are the backbone of our nation and form the foundation of education for the vast majority of children in the United States. Without a strong, consistent public school system, the future of our nation would be in jeopardy.

Therefore, it is important to understand the conditions and characteristics of public schools in order to ensure they are providing the best possible learning environment for our children.

Scholaroo has recently researched the special characteristics of public elementary and secondary schools such as the operating public schools districts, total public school fall enrollment, public school average daily attendance, number of teachers in public schools, number of instructional staff in public schools, average salaries of public school teachers, and average salaries of public school instructional staff within U.S. public schools, in order to better understand and showcase the public school environment in the U.S.
