Scholaroo sought to find out how much each U.S. state is investing in its public libraries and how many visits they receive annually.

Libraries are an integral part of society, offering an invaluable source of knowledge. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, libraries were forced to close their doors for safety reasons. Since then, libraries around the country have been struggling to survive and keep up with changes in technology and user behavior.

Scholaroo conducted a study to determine how many visits public libraries across the 50 states receive and how much each of them invests annually.

On the map below, you can see the amount of visits per capita that each state receives in its libraries annually and the overall ranking. Hover your mouse over the map and check it out!
