Academic Programs International (API) is an awarding body founded in 1997. It provides financial assistance to young Americans studying abroad. The API-JCU Diversity Scholarship is one of many scholarships offered by the organization.
The API-JCU Diversity Scholarship awards one full-tuition scholarship per session abroad to an excellent API minority student enrolled in the John Cabot University Program in Rome, Italy. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants must submit an essay as well as a recommendation letter.
Candidates for the scholarships must be accepted into API’s Direct Enrollment Program. To be eligible, they must also be black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian/Asian-American, or Native American. The award winner receives a monetary prize as well as membership in a large alumni association.
