The Career and Technical Scholarships (CTS) program assists Washington students in pursuing high-demand trade, STEM, and healthcare programs. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in an approved program at one of Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges and be pursuing courses such as welding, manufacturing, or information technology.

For the duration of their associate degree, certificate, or apprenticeship program, students are eligible to receive $1,500 per quarter. Scholarship funds are flexible, and they can be used to pay for tuition, fees, and other educational expenses like housing, transportation, food, and more.

CTS is not available to students who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree after completing their program. Eligible applicants must be Washington State residents, have a high school diploma or GED, and demonstrate financial need by having a family income lower than 70% of Washington state’s median family income.
