The VMFA Visual Arts Fellowships have for over 80 years been supporting professional artists and students with exceptional abilities to build on their talents. The VMFA Visual Arts Fellowships Graduate support professional artists and art and art history students who demonstrate exceptional creative ability in their chosen discipline.
The graduate fellowship is worth $6,000 and only applies to graduate students enrolled full-time in a degree program that continues the following year. The scholarship on offer is open to all Virginia resident graduate students. The VMFA Visual Arts Fellowships are awarded to six students annually. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and stay enrolled through the following year.
