The U.S. Bank Scholarship, offered by the U.S. bank, is a program that awards learners after they successfully complete the institution’s financial lessons. To be eligible, an applicant should be at least 17 years of age. In addition, they should either be college-bound waiting to join an accredited tertiary institution or an undergraduate pursuing a course at an accredited two- or four-year physical or online university or college within the United States.

There are seven awards to be won and winners are selected at random by an administrator under the supervision of a sponsor. The seven positions are two-second prize scholarship awards of $4,000 each, two-first prize scholarship awards of $10,000 each, two-campus banking prize scholarship awards of $1,500 each, and a grand prize scholarship award of $14,000. These different awards are directly paid to the winners’ respective universities or colleges to meet their academic needs.

Participants in the contest earn more than just the cash awards. For example, they get an opportunity to learn different financial concepts and skills such as budgeting, saving, and how to manage student loans. As one advances in the lessons, so does their financial literacy and skills.

How to ace the U.S. Bank Scholarship Program

1

Start your registration process early

In order to participate and stand a chance to win the prize money, applicants should start and complete the registration process early. Visit the official website and follow the instructions to register and create a login.

2

Show dedication by completing the lessons

The more you learn, the higher your chances of winning the grand prize. For example, if you complete six to 11 lessons you are eligible to win up to $4,000, whereas if you complete more than 20 classes and take part in the playlist challenge you are eligible to win $14,000.

3

Look out for a confirmation email

After the random drawings, potential winners are notified via phone/email. The potential winners have 48 hours to respond, failure to which their position is forfeited and another winner is randomly selected.

4

Consult a parent or legal guardian

Potential winners who are still minors will need the help and consent of a legal guardian to fill out the legal documents such as the Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability.

How the U.S. Bank Scholarship Program is Judged

After completing the financial education lessons, the potential winners are chosen through random drawings by an authorized administrator under the supervision of a sponsor. The candidates are contacted to confirm their availability for the award, failure to respond results in that specific award being forfeited and another winner selected. The probability of winning depends on the eligible entries received for each drawing during the Promotion Period.
