The Colorado Fiscal Managers’ Association (CFMA) established the Tim Smith Memorial Scholarship in memory of a previous president of the organization and former Deputy Director of the Colorado State Lottery who died while serving Colorado taxpayers.

The SELC continues to award the Tim Smith Memorial Scholarship to undergraduate students majoring in finance or accounting on an annual basis. The Tim Smith Scholarship is supported by donations and annual fundraising events.

One successful applicant will receive a $1,000 grant to aid in the funding of their school. Colorado citizens starting their sophomore, junior, or senior year of undergraduate study at a state-supported higher education school in Colorado are eligible for this grant.
