The Higher Foundation was founded by Mallorye Crowell in February 2017, after she graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2016. During her college journey, Mallorye overcame financial troubles, housing instability, food insecurity, and more. She made a vow to God in her final semester of college to create a nonprofit organization to help college students overcome the same challenges she faced.
Mallorye currently serves as the president of Higher Foundation with the mission of promoting post-secondary education by providing assistance to Georgia college students. The foundation aims to see every Georgian with a college degree and fulfilled in their career.
In an effort to achieve this mission, the Higher Foundation annually awards three Georgia college students $1,000 scholarships to help with their expenses.

Watch your word count
You are required to write a personal statement of between 300 to 500 words. Make sure your word count does not go beyond the limit, and your essay isn't scanty.

For each of the documents you have to submit, there is a required format you have to use. For example, your college transcript must be uploaded in PDF only. Visit the scholarship website for more details.
Sign where required
You will have to write your full name on a specified part of the enrollment form. This will be regarded as your consent for the organization to use your likeness in photograph/video in their publications and media. Be sure to sign where required.
Apply early
The organization receives hundreds of applications every year, and will not consider late applications. Make sure you apply before the deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline may be considered for a scholarship in the coming year.
