The Coolidge Scholarship is a presidential program supporting selected students to cover all expenses of studying at a U.S. college or university. The award provides for tuition, accommodation, and other educational expenses along with an annual stipend for books and other supplies. The applications are accepted annually in September.
The scholarship is a project of the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, commemorating the thirtieth president of the United States. The organization runs various programs to help and support students from all over the country. The foundation was formed in 1960 by John Coolidge, the president’s son.
Students can apply for the scholarship during their high school junior year and will be applicable in all accredited U.S. institutions. Three or four students are selected for the scholarship each year, while 100 top candidates become Coolidge Senators.
