Has a volunteer scholarship selection team

Physicians volunteer and about 30 of them are randomly selected to read, review, and rank the applicants for the scholarship.

Previous recipients of the scholarship give back to those that supported them and these proceeds go towards one or more of the general scholarships offered by the foundation.

The scholarship is not offered to first-year students but is only offered to continuing undergraduates.
