Stanley R. Arnold Scholarship program was established in 2014 to honor Stanley Arnold, the founder and former president of the New England State and Local Tax Forum (the “Forum”), for his public sector service, contributions to the state tax community, and commitment to state tax education.

The Forum is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012 with the goal of promoting, encouraging, assisting, and fostering education in the areas of state and local taxation and tax policy. The Forum’s primary activity is to organize and publicize a one-day conference to provide an annual update on significant state and local tax developments from across the country, with a particular emphasis on New England.

The Stanley R. Arnold Scholarship provides a one-time award of $3,000 toward the recipient’s tuition, as well as an invitation to attend the forum’s annual conference. Submissions will be reviewed by the Forum’s Scholarship Committee, and a recipient will be chosen by majority vote by August. Following that, the cash scholarship award will be disbursed directly to the individual recipient.
