The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada established the Otto A. Huth Scholarship Fund to strengthen the community through philanthropy and leadership by uniting caring individuals with deserving initiatives.
The Otto A. Huth Scholarship Fund was created to assist young people in the state of Nevada who are either about to leave foster care or have already left and are looking for financial assistance for higher education. The scholarship has benefited numerous students from its inception. It is to support students in Nevada who are about to age out of foster care or have previously aged out of foster care and wish to study at any higher institution.
The award is worth $10,000 up to $40,000 for a maximum of five years. Applicants are to submit their grade transcripts, essays, and recommendation letters. They are to enroll full-time at their desired schools.
