The Good Samaritan LVN & A.D.N Scholarship is awarded to Texan students pursuing a course that leads to licensure as an LVN.

Established with a mission of increasing the number of trained nurses ‘at the bedside’ of Texas patients, the Good Samaritan Foundation (GSF) was founded in 1951 by Reverend Clyde J. Verheyden.

Every year the recipients of the award are given $500 per semester. However, previous applicants must reapply annually.

Explain yourself briefly but clearly in your letter of intent. The reader should be able to grasp why you deserve the scholarship and how you intend to better the profession.

Your referee should ideally be able to attest to your work ethic. Choosing someone who has worked closely with you is recommended.

Although the exact score is not specified, the better your grades the better the chances of winning the scholarship.
