The Hawaii Education Association (HEA) has a long-standing reputation for funding scholarships for anyone in the teaching profession, ranging from public school teachers, administrators, educational assistants, student teachers, and college students to graduating high school seniors.

HEA offers In-Service Public School Educators Scholarship to tenured or permanent (HIDOE) pre-K – 12 teachers, administrators, or educational assistants, completing a State Approved Program leading to teacher licensing, school administrator certification, or HIDOE ParaPro minimum qualifications.

Valued at $2,000 per recipient, In-Service Public School Educators Scholarship supports study or training for its applicants. Preference is given to those completing a state-approved program leading to teacher licensing, school administrator certification, or HIDOE ParaPro minimum qualifications. Those, with a baccalaureate degree or enrolled in an Associate in Arts in Teaching or Certification of Competence teaching program, are eligible to apply.
