The Erin Marie Keener Nursing Scholarship is an annual scholarship in honor of Erin Keener, a fourth-year nursing education student at West Virginia University who was killed in a tragic hit-and-run accident in Fairmont in November 2005.

The scholarship is sponsored by Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, a foundation with a mission to promote philanthropy and build endowment funds to benefit its communities.

The non-renewable scholarship which is open to only fourth-year undergraduate students of West Virginia University offers a decent reward of $1,000.
