David Hudak Memorial Essay Contest for Freethinking Students of Color is an annual essay writing competition held by Freedom from Religion Foundation (F.F.R.F.). The contest welcomes students of color from all over the country to submit write-ups on the given subject. The applicants must be aged between 17 and 21.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting free thinking and social reforms. It creates awareness and legally contests inequalities and deviance from the principle of separating the state from the church. The foundation also undertakes various social welfare and awareness programs.

As the name suggests, the essay contest is open to all students of color. Students planning to attend an accredited North American college or university in the fall of 2022 are eligible to apply. The last date to submit the essay is June 1, 2022.
