The Clearwater-Robert M. Wilkinson Scholarship is a scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students, pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, environmental science, or business management.

The scholarship, which also offers a one-year AWWA Operator membership, is sponsored by the American Water Works Association. The scholarship offers a reward of $1,000 to one deserving recipient to help with a degree in environmental science, engineering, construction management, environmental business management, or related discipline.

Applicants must be residing in North Carolina and demonstrate academic excellence. The scholarship award is subject to renewal annually not exceeding four years for completion of an undergraduate degree and/or two years of a graduate degree so long as applicants meet the requirements.

Bob Wilkinson’s career in the water/wastewater industry lasted over 50 years. He was very active in AWWA, he reached life member status and was awarded the Chair’s Outstanding Service Award in 1973.
