This scholarship is an award program that supports Missouri residents studying any of the five natural resource management fields at accredited schools in Missouri. The scholarship was named in honor of Carl Morrow, a dedicated conservationist and volunteer at the Conservation Federation of Missouri (CFM). The CFM sponsors the scholarship.

The Conservation Federation of Missouri is a private organization that works to protect Missouri’s natural resources and outdoor heritage. Due to their relationship with the Missouri general assembly, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, many progressive policies in the state of Missouri have been introduced.

In this installment, five scholarships of $1,000 each will be presented to students in each of the five areas of natural resource management, including fisheries, forestry, wildlife, parks and recreation, and soil and water conservation. Applicants, who have received one of the CFM’s undergraduate scholarships in the past, are encouraged to apply.

As a conservationist, Carl Morrow served in many positions such as the first Chairman of the Conservation Foundation of Missouri Charitable Trust and the Vice-President of Missouri Power and Light in Jefferson City, Missouri.

The institutions that select recipients for the scholarship include the Missouri chapters of the Wildlife Society, American Fisheries Society, Society of American Foresters, Missouri Parks and Recreation Association, and the Show-Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society.
