The organizer of this scholarship is Project Impact MS. With the intent of breaking down barriers and helping them succeed, the scholarship is targeted at women of color.

Every year, one successful applicant is awarded $1,000 and paid directly to the junior college or university of their choice. Hence, the fund awarded is for tuition fees.

The eligible grade level for application is high school seniors. Also, to qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to attend an HBCU in Mississippi.
