The Against The Grain Groundbreaker Leadership Scholarship is sponsored by Against The Grain (ATG) Productions, a U.S.-based media company that promotes Asian American culture. This scholarship offers financial assistance to Asian American college seniors and graduate students. It specifically targets students who are setting an example for others to follow and transforming lives in the Asian American community through their excellent leadership skills, vision, and passion.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be of at least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens, nationals, or are currently residing and studying in the country. The scholarship is open to all eligible candidates who are either a high school senior or are enrolled at an accredited higher learning institution within the U.S.

All scholarship applicants are required to submit a video presentation showing their work and qualifications. Winning entries are each awarded a sum of $1,500 to be applied towards educational-related expenses such as tuition and fees. This prize money is disbursed directly to the educational institution in which the student is enrolled.
