The Marshall Scholarship was created back in 1953 by the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission to strengthen the enduring relationship between the British and the Americans. It offers U.S. students up to £38,000 in scholarships to study at any British University in any subject at graduate level. Since its establishment, Marshall Scholarships have brought more than 2,000 young Americans to study at universities in the UK, funded mainly by the UK Government through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
