The Choose Vermont Scholarship worth $70,000 is made possible through the public-private partnership of the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges, and 14 Vermont colleges and universities.

Fourteen scholars are awarded $5,000 to pursue higher education in any field of study at specific institutions, which are; Bennington College, Castleton University, Champlain College, Community College of Vermont, Landmark College, Middlebury College, Northern Vermont University, Norwich University, Saint Michael’s College, Sterling College, University of Vermont, Vermont Technical College, and Vermont Law School.

The scholarship program was launched in May 2019 as a campaign to position Vermont as a top destination for college or university education. The target is mainly students already enrolled at a Vermont institution and committed to commence by June 1 of the award year.
